What does a day in the life of you at SwipedOn look like?

I usually sit down and take a moment to recover after the mornings' madness trying to pack two toddlers off to daycare.

Then i'll catch up on any Slack goings-on that I may have missed, make a coffee, assess my efforts on said coffee, then spend my time wire-framing possible solutions, researching different patterns, liaising (chinwagging) with devs, jab festing at usability quirks and creating cards.

What do you like about working at SwipedOn?

I love being back amongst real-life people....not like a zombie type thing 🧟‍♀️ (although have had my two jabs.....) but I was working from home 100% for the last two years, so I'm loving being able to collaborate in person! (and we do collaborate a lot!)

What do you particularly like about what we’re doing with SwipedOn?

I love the hunger and passion to keep making it more awesome! Taking on customer feedback and continually improving 💯

What three words would you use to describe your role?

1. Broad

2. Challenging (in a good way)

3. Satisfying ✅

What is your SwipedOn screensaver?

Eeeeek I don't have one...just some random default thing

What did you do in your previous working life?

I was working with Suncorp Insurance/Bank for the past 8 years. And I also had two children in amongst that.... 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

What do you do in your free time?

Free time?! 😂 I actually laughed out loud at that! Well I can tell you what I'd 'like' to do... generally any free time will be spent going for a walk, coffee dates with friends, I've got some unfinished paintings also awaiting my return....Annoyingly though any free time I have, I seem to spend cleaning 🧽 🥲

What are three things still left on your bucket list?

1. Visit Great barrier reef 🐠

2. Take our kids back to the UK

3. To have our own swimming pool

What’s on your SwipedOn playlist?

I genuinely couldn't describe the theme beyond 'eclectic'....

If you were stuck on a desert island and you could choose one person from the SwipedOn team to come with you, who would you take and why?

I think it would have to be Rory, from the little time I've known him he seems unflappable (which would balance my all panic stations) and is obviously very smart so feel he'd concoct a great solution to get us outta there ✈️ (no pressure Rory...)

Let's end this with a weird fact about you:

I hiked to Everest Basecamp 🌄 but the day before getting there I got taken down by food poisoning so was unable to complete the last 2.5 hours and make it to the 'actual' Basecamp! Luckily it's about the journey, not the destination....right?! RIGHT?!
