When he's not out in nature hiking, spending time with family or dreaming about hitting up every theme park in the world (true story 🎢 ), Luke is our account executive here at SwipedOn HQ. We caught up with him to find out what a day in the life is like at SwipedOn HQ in Tauranga, New Zealand.
In a nutshell, what do you do at SwipedOn?
Well really I just talk to people all day about all the amazing things SwipedOn has to offer. You could say I am the face of the company, now whether thats a face we want associated with SwipedOn who's to know, but it's the face people see. 😄
What does a day in the life of you at SwipedOn look like?
Usually, I spend the first hour or so catching up on emails, and then the rest of the day I am on and off the phone and in and out of meetings. If I am in the office, it's always fun to pop off for a cheeky table tennis game in between calls when I can, even though I lose most of the time. 🏓
What are some of your favourite things about being part of the team here?
Everyone at SwipedOn is extremely warm and welcoming. I have worked in my fair share of unhealthy environments, so it is a breath of fresh air to be surrounded by so many like-minded and talented people. It is truly motivating when have such a good team around you.
What do you like about what we’re doing with SwipedOn?
I really love how passionate our team is to make a difference. We truly take on our customer's feedback and always strive to deliver the best work possible. We don't rush releases or try to copy others, we do things our way and what we think is right.
What three words would you use to describe your role?

Do you have a favourite motto or mantra you live by?
If you worry about something and then it happens, you have suffered twice, so its best not to worry about things out of your control.
What did you do in your previous working life?
Prior to SwipedOn, I worked in a few different industries in sales-related roles. My most recent role was as a recruitment consultant, which funnily enough is where I found out about SwipedOn. Prior to that, I was a tele-fundraiser for a charity called World Vision, very rewarding work, but also very gruelling. And finally, before that I was a Business Development Manager for my brother's startup company, doing everything I could to drum up new business and interest.
What do you do in your free time?
I love to stay active, whether thats going for a hike, a cycle or any sport I am up for playing just name a time and a place. When I am at home, I love to watch movies or video games, I have watched almost every film on IMDB's top 250 and have to admit I have written a few movie reviews myself in my spare time. But number one is family, any chance I can at am hanging out with my siblings, parents or partner.
What are three things still left on your bucket list?
1. Do a skydive 🪂
2. Hit up every major theme park in the world 🎢 🌍
3. Go on a voyage to Antarctica 🇦🇶 🐧
What’s on your SwipedOn playlist?
I listen to music from all genres, so my playlist can range from grime, to house to ballads. Although, my some of my favourite artists are Post Malone, Calvin Harris, SG Lewis, and Khalid. Favourite song of all time is Passionfruit by Drake.
If you were stuck on a desert island and you could choose one person from the SwipedOn team to come with you, who would you take and why?
I would have to say, Vanessa, as she has the greatest dog ever and I think our time on a desert island would be alot more fun with Zeke!

I have moved countries 4 times and lived in 20-plus houses in my life, so I am arguably a nomad! Although, I think I have definitely found my forever home now 🏡
